We had to put my childhood dog down today. He is 20 years old this month. He wasn't able to see and hold his blatter. His leg was hurting off and on. I am sorry if this wasn't a good place to put it. Just didn't know where to put.

When one of my animals passes, a part of me passes. That relationship leaves my world forever. There remains forever the memory, though, & for me that is precious. Usually I have a ridiculous number of photographs, sometimes drawings & paintings. Part of my grieving always involves writing about our times together.

I'm glad you told us about this, because a childhood dog is so important. I am sorry, Xeneon. Please tell us about him, if you're feeling able to do that now. I'm wondering whether he was among any of the wonderful photos you've posted?

Wow Xeneon, a dog living to 20? that is the longest life I have ever known a dog to live. You must have been such a good loving owner. That is a very long time to be with an animal, and no loss of any animal is easy.

May your loving dog rest in peace, and may you know that you gave that dog the longest loving life I have ever known, truely amazing. (((((Hugs)))))

My first two dogs died last year and this year, respectively. They were 12 years old. A pet death is always difficult, and I hope you find solace in the wonderful life you gave your precious puppy amidst the tragedy of losing a loved one. I'm here if you want to talk about it.
Thanks for this!

He was a great dog and loyal one too. We got him from the pound. We saved his life from a date with the needle. He was always so loving. I held him for 5 mins giving him hugs and kisses. He was rubbing up against me like he was giving me a hug back. Giving me kisses goodbye. He was ready to go but it doesn't make it any easer. I have no pictures of him on here. I'm now crying again. So I think I can't talk about anymore today but thanks for stopping bye.
