It's fashion, just not one I would choose for myself.

I do not know about fashion. Even so, I am somewhat bewildered when considering all of the advances, why modern medicine cannot find a better way to close those holes than by using metal, plastic and bone.

I admit they don't look very happy lol. Some aren't so bad and others make me scratch my head in confusion. Number 2 is from a movie coming out called 'The Hunger Games' - its a fantastic 3 book series that my 14 yr old read during the holidays. Number 4 reminds me of the ring, in a bulls nose and I can't help but think what a vulnerable position she puts herself in. A robber or predator wouldn't need a weapon - just pull the nose ring and you've got control.

I have love hate relationship with fashion. But these are weird. I think some of these pictures are disturbing on purpose (not sure what purpose though).

Most of it's not the sort of thing I would wear, but I understand that some would like it. Picture #4 looks painful.

Fashion is something that has always been so pointless to me; it's just the glorification of shallowness.

Is #6 a guy or a girl? I can't tell...

When I was working & had to dress nice, it still wasn't about this kind of fashion.....but was about a more classic style & always hated makeup especially after going to a make-up party & trying some masquera that made my eyes swell shut & itch so bad.

Now I live is sweats & turtlenecks in the winter & sweat-like shorts in the summer with short sleeve T's.......only style I throw into that mix is trying to at least color coordinate the stuff I wear.

I'm with Lynn on the nose rings......who in the world wants to go around looking like a bull & stick something on your nose that you can be lead around with? Doesn't that counter some of what women's lib stood for in the first place? Guess as a model when you get paid to wear that kind of stuff, that's one thing.....but to wear it in everyday living............

I thought these were all gorgeous and was going to forward them to my T when I first saw them. Then I thought, nah, i'll just show him in person on the phone or on his computer, make SURE he sees 'em...

ETA - he's a big fan of Larsson

ETAF - 18 - yeah, 10 shades of black! I get it! You don't? I admit, this is an obsession for me. But I flashback to my brother telling my mother to have me read Teen magazine because it would teach me how to be a woman, end quote. Now fashion AND magazines are addictions for me, but salespeople call me "sir"! So yeah THAT plan worked! NOT!

been thinking about 18 too. And if it is nailpolish then... a big WANT. Because.... one just needs multiple shades of dark for their nails.

The link name makes me roll my eyes. Goth? Pfffft! Oooooh, their clothes are black! Must be goth. I get this simplistic response sometimes.

To the question, no, I don't like the styles. And this is from someone who needs a light in the closet because nearly everything's black. (Simply because I love it and it simplifies my life.)

Yeah, to show how "shocking" and "edgey" they are. Big flip. Not impressed. It always cracks me up when people try to prove how "different" they are by following lock-step in the (often rather strict) dress code of a group. By definition, not original(!) Haha. I got crap (style-wise) from some "punks" a few weeks ago. I ignored it. Later I kind of wished that I'd informed them that the uniforms they were wearing were merely caricatures of punk. And I should know. I hit the epicenter of the musical jackpot of change age-wise. And punks were most assuredly not wearing mass-produced expensive fancy clothing and accessories coming direct from the factory conforming to a pre-set look. Missing the point much? Wankers. (Can I say that here? Lol.) (Btw, they were laughably off the mark with their commentary on my style--which is, incidently, definitely my own mix. Again, making snide comments on that which one does not know, in reference to a time frame one was not even alive in, towards those who were, is just plain stupid.) Perhaps actual originality made them uncomfortable. Ok, side-track rant over.

lol

well it is fashion of some sort, and whatever- to each their own,

Personally with piercings, I used to have them all over at one time, now none-- for me it was more of "self image and rebel on what people did not accept so easily" (my mom was a big person that really did not like the sort-- but it was a way to be rebellious and yeah I did like some of them and how they looked).. I get urges from time to time for piercings today, it is usually when i am stressed (in combination of other urges too)- I knew one friend that piercings were a form self mutilation however, it was safer than cutting; so To each their own.

Here are my ratings (when possible) and comments for each:

1) 6/10 (nothing speculator to write home about)
2) 10/10 (only the model that looks human and isn't frowning)
3) 8/10 (excellent movie pose, decent clothing and the make-up suits the scene)
4) ... Why?
5) 0/10 (hideous)
6) 0/10 (not sure if the model is trying to imitate a zombie, drug user after smoking/drinking or hopeful rock star that never made the limelight).
7) 6/10 (clothes are good, model isn't)
8) 6/10 (excellent Halloween costume to look like a mannequin, otherwise 2/10).
9) 5/10 (modern version of elegant black dresses, very futuristic)
10) 8/10 (nice outfit, model is horrible as it looks too masculine)
11) LEGS! 10/10
12) Polished tool from the Dark Ages?
13) Looks like porcupine quills, fashionable if the idea is to ward off people.
14) 8/10 (best piece of clothing so far)
15)
16) Looks like part of a toilet seat, I guess it's for a plumber?
17) 8/10 but lose the belt on the head.
18) Grey.....
Thanks for this!
