the last time the giants were in the super bowl i was vacationing in "chez bin'...not the best place..but hey they did have a big screen tv...

the staff was always harping on how they wanted to make it as normal as possible for us...well i decided that if i was at home i would have been having giant hero sammies & chips, soda, etc & all my friends over...not having a tiny glass of juice & going to bed at a certain time with 15 minute checks...no not home like at all.

so i pestered them..as only i can do.

if you want me to be normal then you must treat me as such.

2 (yup!) 6' hero sammies...chips, dip, veggie plate, 2 liters of soda, cake arrived just in time for kick off. bed time was suspended (like really..we had to get up & do what early in the morning???)

it turned out to be a fun evening...

yea i was a terror...ya should have seen me when it came to hallway bowling....

the nurses always said they could tell when i was starting to feel better..i became the rowdy trouble making patient...gotta do something to make those crappy emergency stays pass...

they wanted nice quiet hall bowling..everyone has a turn...that was lame.

i organized the "professional indoor hall bowling league" made teams..those that couldn't bowl became the crowd...taught crowd noise so when the "announcer" said..and the crowd roared...they could do so.

you had to wear your bowling shoes.aka nasty paper slippers...no unfair advantages..we all sucked. ..form & style counted. games went for 3 frames...teams had 3-4 people on them or how ever many wanted to play...we had pin setter uppers, ball chasers etc. very involved.

what could they say...it was loud, noisy, fun..involved laughing, cheering...the dreaded smiling...& everyone got involved even those who couldn't participate much...
the winning championship team took on the staff...(who had to wear bowling shoes of course..aka the slippers)

yeah it's good to be the rebel without a clue sometimes..even if it is in chez bin..

i would make the nurses give out prizes for everything..they spent $$$ at stores for things when i was there...lame games for therapy...need lame prizes.

they probably miss me..on second thought they probably don't...i was there too many times. i on the other hand do not miss them.
Thanks for this!

Hey Stumpy!
You sound like you made that time as enjoyable as it could be. Good for you being a rabble rouser and organizing things. That bowling sounds fun.

at a work lunch one time (like a going away party - otherwise I never left my desk) I "complained" one time, "hey, how come I always end up at the rowdy table?!" and my supervisor actually started to explain it was my own fault! His was definitely NOT the rowdy table that day!

yes they did...nail biter of a game too...had to laugh at the last giant touchdown...don't score don't score & he topples in while everyone stands & watches...geez.

good game.

much hot dog consumption was done here. my friend came over & she fed my idiot dogs saurkraut ...amazingly they seemed to enjoy it & there were no after effects..go figure.

yeah it was a great game. gotta love my giants. it was a noisy night in the hood tho...many parties lasted long after the game...

Yea, Stumpy.....wish I had shared my many times in chez bin with you also......would have made time pass with much more enjoyment.

We had a fun super bowl party with our group from church. How could I pass not having a TV of my own to go & enjoy an evening with a large screen TV & the best food of all times. My addition to the food was a huge mess. I made the pretzels with oven softened chocolate caramels (rolos) on top. As I was trying to transfer the foil from the cookie sheet into the container I was trying to take them it....they all dumped on top of each other & I ended up with a mess of pretzels & chocolate caramel all piled together. Some got stuck to the foil & I ended up breaking them to pieces trying to get them off the foil. Go figure......there were only a few left to bring home even though they looked like a disaster. Looks aren't everything when it comes to food I guess...lol.

There was a whole kitchen full of wonderful food.

That last touchdown was hilarious. Love the way he turned around & just sat down backwards across goal line......I can definitely say I have never seen a touchdown like that before.....but then I haven't seen a lot of touchdown's lately.....maybe that's a new style of touchdown when you have forever to make it without worry of being tackled.....but then....go ahead & tackle me into the end zone. We definitely got a good laugh. Was wondering if anyone was going to mention that last touchdown here at PC. Gave NE way too much time & a lot of sloppy plays in that last minute of play however. Almost thought NE might even get a chance at another field goal if NY wasn't more careful.

Those are the kind of FB games I enjoy however......give me a down to the line, fight for your points games. Spent high school & college in marching band & did many FB games including playing for a RAMS game when they were in Los Angeles. Got rather bored with the games if they weren't REALLY EXCITING.

I thought the way Ahmad Bradshaw backed into the end zone kinda looked like the dog Skechers commercial, where the winner dog was so far ahead, he turns around and moonwalks across the finish line!

did you see the doritos ad with the basset at the dog park? reminded me of my lowla..looked just like her...but the sketchers ad was good..as was the honda one broderick? broderick? very bueller like!!!!

also liked the doritos one with the great dane bribing the owner after the cat disappeared...

there is a huge ticker tape parade tomorrow in the city...if i didn't have 2 dr appts..i might have given thought about going...

also thought it was not so classy of brady's model wife to drop the f bomb at some giant fans after the game when they taunted her...really? come on...you are supposed to be bigger than that...oh wait..rex ryan isn't (ok i HATE rex ryan & the jets...oh sorry my inside voice slipped out again..my bad)
