Why is it when someone tells a tale of woe that necessitates getting additional days off, the day is always Friday, so they get 4 day weekends? I wonder if they were offered Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon off, if they'd take it?

My cousin JUST posted this on his facebook that he had to fill in for someone who was taking a four day weekend on a Friday.
