Does anyone here like Joan Rivers? I think she is a hoot.

The individual I care at home for has a birthday tomorrow and his family got 2 tickets to her show tomorrow night for both of us. I'm really kind of excited to get out of these four walls for a night at the theatre for some good, downright raunchy laughs.

I think it's going to be a GOOD time! And boy, I could sure use the laughs right now.

What do ya'll like to do for laughs and giggles? Is there any comic in particular that can raise your spirits?

Jeff Dunham usually works for me too. I've seen him in person before and came away with a side ache and my face was sore from laughing so hard.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend...and don't forget to laugh!

I think she's funny. I like Robin Williams for laughs. Bill Hicks to make me smile and think. George Carlin and Richard Pryor to make me think and laugh.
Have a good time!

Ron White and his big ol' Texas drawl and ever present glass of scotch (?) make me feel good. I don't even like raunchy, but he doesn't get too bad most of the time.
I like how his stories go down a nice straight path, then take a hilarious sudden left turn.
I like when he has a hard time keeping from smiling at the punchline already running through his head.

I like Joan Rivers too. She has an amazing amount of energy and she's fun.

Ellen, Cos, Robin Williams. Carlin is missed. I miss Carson too--none of the T.V. Guys are true comics except maybe the gap-toothed one IMO.

Great that you got tix to see her. I am SO jealous that you saw Jeff fa faaa in person <333 I absolutely adore him

As for older comedians...Betty White takes the gold for me She used to be SUPER beautiful too when she was young!

Joan Rivers

jay leno is also one of my faves (:

Tosh is sort of up there. He's not super funny, but he plays some disturbing videos.

I am assuming you are referring to Dave Letterman? I love him. His 30th Anniverysary Show Top Ten List was hilarious!

As for Joan Rivers--She is funny. I was surprised by how raunchy she was. I enjoyed her documentary. (I think it was called A Piece of Work)

oh and of course Sheldon from Big Bang Theory makes me laugh out loud. He is just as cute as can be. that little moonpie.

Can't say that Joan Rivers does anything for me, but I'm really happy for you that you're getting to go. Hope you have a great time.

I have always liked Mrs. Rivers, and have always found her witty. Kathy Griffin is also quite funny (Her stories from the D List are a hoot)

Gabriel Iglesias is another comdien I really love. He is a heavy weight Latino that tells great stories about himself and his freinds. He has a great sense of humor regarding his weight and adds in killer sound effects to enhance his routine (all made by him personally)

Used to.. But after her behaviour towards Annie Duke when they were both on the apprentice... Well if she was on fire I'd wish for a bladder full of jet fuel

I used to prefer Johnny Carson.

Now that he is gone my fav is Bill Cosby. He does stand up at the dog tracks here sometimes.

Well, the show was great! Yes, she is quite the piece of work, no doubt about it. If I had thought about it, I would have counted how many f-bombs she dropped. She is an equal opportunity insulter....managed to insult just about every walk of life. But, since I "get" that kind of humor and I do realize it's not necessarily how she really feels or thinks about folks, her delivery of it is spot on.

I was up in the nose bleed section...the balcony where the cheaper seats are. She looked up at us and pointed and told us to stop being so effin cheap....LOL. All in all it was a good night.

I love reading about the comics that ya'll enjoy. I love Jefffa and peanut and walter and jose jalapeno on a steeeck and all the others. No matter how many times I watch his videos, I always laugh. Matter of fact, a friend got me a talking peanut doll for Christmas last year.....too funny!

I also enjoy the Blue Collar boys very much. Ron White is just adorable with an awesome delivery. Jeff Foxworthy is really good too but his whingy voice gets to me after awhile.

There are so many others that managed to make me laugh over the years I can't begin to mention them all. To me, laughter is and always will be the best medicine for what ails ya!

Phyllis Diller made an appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful last week. She looks the same as ever! She had a line in the show to the effect of, there isn't much work for actresses over 90 these days (she is almost 95). She STARTED her career as a comedienne when she was 35 with 4 children. I saw her in 1980, she acted like she OWNED the audience, so confident - which of course she did. So I try to have that same attitude when I have to public speak.

Phyllis Diller is one of my all time favorites.
Carol Burnett (and Company) too.

And Bill Cosby.. fell in love with him and his humor back when he did "To Russell My Brother, Who I Slept With" and I got to see him do most of that album when he appeared at Kent State a wayyy long time ago.

sabby - I'm so happy for you that you had a great time!

Oh dear, I forgot about Phyllis Diller. Her and that wild hair! LOL I loved her back in the day.

Bill Cosby....such an icon! I think my fav video of Bill was "Myself" I think it was called. His facial expressions really said it all!
