So, I know most people on here probably journal with a pen and paper. I am an advid typer so I do all my journaling on my laptop. Does anyone else type instead of write? Does anyone use special software aside from word? If so what are the features?
I am currently demoing this software if you want to check it out. http://www.lifejournal.com/ So far I am intrigued by this software. -It has all your general word proccessing features (spell check, fonts, thesaurus, etc.) - you can insert pictures, audio, links, and more -it has trackers for things like mood, how many hours you slept, excersize and you can customize your own -has writing prompts to inspire you -has a timer if you want to time your writing -you can catagorize entries and highlight -search feature -has a timeline -tips for writing, and journaling techniques, webinars, good tech support -you can write a letter to another time???....interesting has all kinds of features and very customizable let me know what you think or if you use something else

When I journal on my computer or blog online I never keep at it. I get a "special" software or site going and then don't keep it up and end up feeling guilty. Every few years I use to go through and delete various pieces of journals I had all over the place.
Now I just type in a private place online, on my own site (when I feel like typing instead of writing). I have a paper and pen journal or two also and several discreet subject notebooks (finance, health, etc.) I use, whatever my mood for a particular day is. I get lots of journal-type ideas (reading and taking notes on online, non-fiction books) and still am prone to start an abandon stuff so I try to keep it more connected rather than starting "new" each time in a new space, with a new software/notebook, etc. It can be like dieting or exercising for me; I've tried a zillion different things so am wary of getting too excited that "this" one will be "it" :-)
