There is a house a few towns over, it has been vacant for years. Last night on my way home I stopped & peeked in the windows, I've been keeping my eye on it since I saw it. It's an old two story colonial home built in 1840. I'm not sure peeking in the windows was a great idea because I FELL IN LOVE with it! I did some research on the address and last time it was listed it was for 569,988 in 2009. Its 3,000 sq feet, has 60 acres, two car garage, two barns, 3 bedrooms two baths, original hard wood floors, fairly new carpeting & windows. Very spacious with a huge kitchen. I contacted the previous relator listed who no longer works there but i was directed to someone who's going to do some research for me. I made it clear I'm not in a position to buy it but given a chance to do a tour would love to possibly rent to own. Im getting ahead of myself and I'm ready to hear a fat NO due to the previous asking price which is WAY out of my league but what do they have to lose by potentially letting me rent it? I'm just hopeful & really fell in love with this house!

That sounds like something I would do! A walk through would be nice, then you could really get a feel for the place.

Lol I stopped by there yesterday and since it hasn't been listed since 09, the owner of it saw me there and stopped in. When i mentioned I was interested she said oh I'm positive you can't afford this house! Was a real SNOT of a woman. I mentioned I saw mold on the walls and she said that house is pristine no idea what YOU are speaking of, she walked in & a pipe had burst under the sink God only knows how long it was running for & the entire house was covered in mold & water. She just put 25,000 Into it last year, guess it was a reality check not to be such a B lol. Sucks was a beautiful house.
