I am so happy, I got the job at Oxford University Press Canada.

It'll be part time to start - 20 hrs / week, which is what my addictions Dr. is recommending as a way to reenter the workforce without the stress of full time. But it has the potential to go full time in July / August, once the busy season for higher education publishing inventory hits, which would let me save up some money for school.

It's a combination of inventory planning, writing technical documentation on their inventory planning software / processes, and doing financial analysis, all of which I know how to do.

The best part is I'll be reporting to the president of the company who is an old friend of mine - I've known him for 16 years, so he knows my complete mental health & addictions history, which means I'll be able to take time off for rehab aftercare or pdoc appointments without a problem.

I'm hoping that this will provide a much needed boost to my confidence as I badly need a success in my life right now, as well as needing the money since my financial position was getting pretty down to the wire.

Thank you everyone. Big (((hugs))) to all of you.

I've been telling all my friends, and they're all really happy. When I told my addictions Dr. she impulsively came close to hugging me, except I instinctively saw it coming and must have given her one of my "touch me and die" looks. (I'm trying to get better about being touched, but I really don't want to be hugged by my addictions Dr.)

I'm meeting with my nurse at rehab to determine exactly what week I'm supposed to finish, so I can tell Oxford on Mon. what day I want to start.

I'm thinking maybe the first Mon. in May.

I feel really bouncy.
