I have skype on my computer. Just put the skype app on my iphone. Will video chat or calls work on iphone WITHOUT wifi? Would i need to buy skype credits to call/ video another state or country? At home i have no wifi.

My2 friends also have skype- on their laptops- if that makes any difference in how it works.

You need to be connected to the internet to use Skype, whether that be wifi or an internet data plan on a smart phone. Without the internet, calls cost money (you will need to buy the minutes with a credit card).

It depends on the data use on your plan. Both you and your Skype contact must be on internet. Check your phone plan provider about Skype as cost can climb quickly.

I figured out how to use Skype on my phone... I have an unlimited data plan, so I wonder if that helps? It just uses data, right?
(I have been googling this and trying to figure it out all week!!)
