I was hoping someone might have some practical ideas on how to sell a piece of art. Pawn shops are out.
I have a Francisco Goya etching I have been trying to unload for awhile now. I have the appraisal and certificate of authenticity however finding a buyer is tough. I was hoping someone might have some realistic ideas. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Hmmm that's out of my sphere of knowledge C. I have read online about people who came across valuable art at garage sales and thrift shops and selling the art through the big auction houses in NYC. They will take a healthy cut of the sale price I'm sure but they will get you the best price. Much better than a pawn shop or a local gallery/auction house would.

I'd go with an auction house, that specializes in art. I'm selling some paintings that I didn't want to keep in my move that way.
Just google art auctions in your area. splitimage |
