I tossed a metal table at a bully once after being provoked for several long weeks. I made sure I didn't hit him with it but did make sure it made a lot of noise and well displayed my pissoffedness.
Hmmm...Problem was, it was at a time in my life when I was feeling mighty low about myself and was prone to allowing myself to appear pretty meek. Also I was well into adulthood and knew this behavior was quite improper. ALSO it was my first month at a new job and i was quite stressed. I wasn't in the union either at that point. Not like that would have saved me. Sooo...I was fired. Not good. Everyone told me afterwards this gut was an idiot and i should have taken him 'outside' so to speak. I'm a peaceful chap...[really I am] and when the intial shock of it all was over I had no desire to continue anything with him. The agitation was gone and I was fine with it. Depressed more than ever but fine with it. Sad to say but this was at the point just before I sought help for my depression...perhaps I should thank the bastard. Still I'd rather have kept the job. Anyway a year later I'm sitting on my bike in a buddys driveway chatting and this guy walks in the driveway. My buddy tells me this guy is an a-hole who just moved next door. He was 3/4 the way up the driveway before he recognized me. Heh...he got quite a shock. He suddenly got very nervous but knew he couldn't just turn around and leave. I was loving it. I had no ire towards him and knew he wouldn't be so crazy as to continue his behavior towards me. After some small talk I asked him if he remembered me. He wouldn't look at me much but acknowledged. I calmly told him he was a bit of an a-hole towards me and he kind of shuffled a bit looked down an said yeah...I swear just like a guilty kid! I let it go then and the small talk continued...mostly between him and my buddy. He excused himself shortly after and left. My buddy said this guy was a serious loudmouth and he laughed when I told him my story. I knew this jerk was a sheep and would likely be fluff outside his 'kingdom'. He was. I knew too though, if he had said anything I would have granted him a chance to dance so to speak. Just on principal... I would have enjoyed it. I may have been 'sheeplike' for a time but I'm no sheep. Glad it worked out fine. Never saw him again. Pretty isolated incident. Only time I was bullied as an adult. Too bad it caught me at my lowest. I really needed that job at the time. It ain't on my resume that place...! Factories...can be a rough place to be sometimes. Some real winners can be found. Anyway it's peace and love fer all right now. That event was a huge screwup....but as i said the likely impetus for seeking help for my depression. It was during that help that we discovered my mood disorder stuff. It ain't all fixed but it's much better than it was. I learned a lot. Sooo...I appear to have written a long thing that probably isn't related to this post. The squirrel was talking about bullies in the 1st vid. I guess I should say that metal worktable tossing is another not necessarily proper behavior when dealing with bullies...Aye...well...it's just a little story from my past... I think I'll leave it there. |

Foamy. <3 He is funny and sometimes rude. I really like the episode, "Nuts To You". There is also a "Nuts To You II" but it isn't as good as the first one.
