hey,

how can someone close an email acount on hotmail if they wanted to.

Go to Settings, Account, Deactivate Account. If that doesn't work go to their help forum link on the home page.

If the usual way doesn't work (setting's-deactivate) open a new account and send a few email's between the two account's after say a week report the account you want closing as being spam. MSN will deactivate the account as It's in their term's and condition's to remove ALL account's that act maliciously or are known as spammer's.. Trust me It work's as I've used this method myself.. hope that's what you wanted..
