It simply changes by the amount of messages you have entered. The more messages you have entered shows the more participation you have put into the website forum. The more you participate in the forum, the more experience you gain, the change in status of your membership. So those titles change as the number of entries you put in increase.

when i first joined forums, and first heard of member titles, i thought they were bad... as it would encourage wars between the members- oh, you're a new member and i'm a veteran.. so i'm better than you. then all the new members would just post to boost their title- to become the best, not to actually post anything worthwhile

but now i think they are pretty cool

I wonder what would happen if post counts were done away with? It would be interesting to see if some members carried on without having a number or titled attached to their name...it also doesn't mean others would start contributing worthwhile responses. Interesting...there needs to be a thread about this (or another one) perhaps...

You know, while we're on the subject of forum rank, is there any basis by which the "superposter" tag is given? I don't understand what I did to get mine, and I don't know the foundation on which it's given.

from how i understand it, it's to do with how often you post on the boards.

i've seen people on here with only 4 or 5 posts- and they are super posters.

so something like that i think

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
