I cannot fully express how much I appreciate the men and women that served and are serving for their sacrifice, dedication, duty, and in protecting us. Wishing peace to you and your families. Thank you more than I can say.

I will always remember Rememberance Day as a little kid. My Dad was a WW II vet, and I'd be all proud of him, getting all dressed up in his legion jacket and pinning his medals on and marching in the parade to the memorial where they laid wreaths and made speeches. I didn't totally understand it at the time, I just knew my Dad had done something important.

Members of my family and close friends were and are members of the armed services and gov. They continue to serve their Country. I honor them and my heart thanks them and all service members for their bravery, courage, dedication and love of Country. They sacrifice (and have sacrificed) for our freedoms. Enormous gratitude and respect to all on this very important day

My grandfather was a Merchant Marine in WWII. Just after he got his orders to be sent home, the ship he served one was destroyed by a German U-boat. When my grandmother got notice that he was coming home...she wouldn't read it because she thought it was a notice of his loss. She didn't know he had left the ship prior to its attack. So when he came home, it was a complete surprise to her.
