I'm often curious as to the origin of people's nicknames. What is the significance in their meaning? Did they consider other names, or was the one they chose to use of the greatest importance?

I just wanted something easy to remember, so mine is my first name, twice, first in English and again in Irish.

My younger brother called me Didge one day, when he was learning how to talk. It stuck.

The extra e on Didge makes it sound happier, like Didgeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Eeyou is the name of an Indigenous nation in Canada. I decided to add it to my username, since I am half Eeyou.

Mine's my cat's name and my favourite number. TiToad was my other choice, it's what my nieces call me but I decided I wanted to keep it for them.

Mine is my real life nickname (well one of them) and my age when i signed up followed by my birthdate. I wish id chosen something a bit better but in truth i didn't think id stick around long - i don't exactly have the best history with forums.

Mine was from an old video game I used to play...an older Dragon Warrior game to be exact. There were two sisters on the game, one named Mara, and the other named Nara, with the obvious connonation between the two names. I had another name on here until fairly recently. I changed it because I decided too many people in real life know it.
