It's a day of reflection for the many wonderful people including sons, daughters, friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers whose lives have been tragically cut short and have been lost to the AIDS epidemic. Please keep them in your prayers.
It is also a reminder to continue to practice safe sex to prevent infection with the HIV virus, and that many, many people continue to suffer from the disease and, sadly, to contract it. Last edited by Anonymous37913; Dec 01, 2012 at 10:13 AM. |

Thanks for posting this. A lot of progress has been made to combat HIV in the first world in the last couple of decades, but much more needs to be done, especially in the third world where cultural and financial barriers have made it difficult to treat and control the spread.
As unhappyguy pointed out, anyone can get this terrible disease, be very careful out there, use safe practices and good judgement folks. My sorrows go out to anyone who lost a loved one to HIV/AIDS., hopefully a vaccine/cure will be found soon. |

Hoping too that a cure and vaccine is around the corner. My heart is with loved ones, those that have a lost a loved one, and those in treatment: sending strength, hope, and love.
