Have you ever pulled an all-nighter here at PC?

Nope....but due to my work, I do all-dayers 5-6 times a week. That's enough, I'd say.
Thanks for this!

Lots and lots of times pegz Sometimes (mostly) bcoz sleep escapes me, and a couple of times a friend was in a rough spot. I pull alot of all nighters, have done so since I was 14, and knowing me, there's plenty more to come...

Never an all nighter but plenty of all dayers.

One too many all nighters may have led to my psychosis. No more sleepless nights for me.

I've pulled all nighters and multiple-day-ers...typically through no fault of my own, though one time I was up four days taking adderall with some people, it was stupid, didn't end well bla bla bla....but yeah no sense in pretending it didn't happen.

But most other times its simply that I can't sleep...or I want to avoid disturbing dreams.

Well, I don't know if you'd call them all-nighters, but I usually get on the computer and onto PC during the late and wee hours. Can't remember if I've stayed up on PC itself until around 7:00 a.m., but I've stayed on the Internet that long, but not for a long time. I need my sleep. I stay up too long as it is, but I sleep for like 12 hours, and hate getting up. I've got a doctor's appointment today, and that's one of the things I'm going to talk to her about.

Yes, for self and to be with others. One of the many reasons so appreciate PC and members, here 24/7.

I'm a new member but I have pulled many all nighters. I have since quit but I used to be a huge caffeine addict. I'm down to two cups of black coffee a day.

Hi, Kimical! Welcome to PC!

I never made it to the doctor. My car suddenly started beeping, and I couldn't figure out what it was, and then the beeping stopped. It started up again a few seconds later, and then I saw that the temperature gauge was on HOT, and then smoke started coming from under my hood! Long story short, $1095!!! The radiator hose came off the thing that's supposed to connect it (I forget what the guy told me; I don't know anything about cars), plus I needed to get four all-new tires, because mine were close to blowing out!!! Ka-CHING!!!

Yes, in fact, that is really the only time I post on here.

I suffer from insomnia some nights and I always end up on here if I have no more school work to do.

It gets entertaining after awhile because you start to find threads that no one has posted in for a while or you read some interesting/funny replies.

After about 5-6 hours straight though it can get a little boring.

Fair word of advice: All nighters are bad for you, If you find yourself in that situation come on here because often times there are people like you who, are unable to sleep as well that you are able to provide each other entertainment with conversation.
Thanks for this!

Unfortunately, the answer is yes.....it was the worse the last few month's of Destiny's life.....I would doze off at the computer so I could be awake for her the moment I heard her mostly trying to get up from where she was laying......didn't realize just how much I was awake during those months until now when I get tired & I go to sleep. But there are times when I have a project that I am working on or a gift I need to get finished that I end up staying up all night.

Sometimes I get involved cleaning or organizing something in my house & keep going until I'm finished & that's usually when I look out the window & see the sun is shining.

Avoiding nightmares at times when they hit like dealing with issues with stbxh........keeps me up all night also & no better place to distract myself than on the internet & obviously, that's mostly on PC along with the other research I enjoy doing on it.

The gotcha on the all nighters was that I ended up going to my pain specialist after a long stretch of sleepless nights & days & my BP was so high that he wanted me to go to the ER (I didn't go.....but probably should have)......that was the appointment when I told him what a difficult time I was having with sleep.....his initial comment was that having a hard time sleeping shouldn't effect your BP that much.....when I explained that it wasn't just a difficult time sleeping but NOT sleeping at all......he decided to prescribe temazapam....it really helps when I take it.

Sleeping more has brought down my BP a lot because I don't want to take any meds for it if I don't have to. When my weight was so low with the anorexia 6+ years ago, my blood pressure was so low.....my weight is just at the good place right now.....so it's hard for me to grasp the possibility that my blood pressure could be high.

Lack of sleep & high blood pressure go together though. Now that I'm sleeping better, my blood pressure has gone down without the use of meds.
