Anyone here have tattoos, piercings, or body mods? Post pictures if you'd like. I love seeing other people with mods.

I have two lip piercings and 5/8" stretched ears. I plan on getting more piercings. I see mods as a way of taking ownership of a body that hates me. What is your mindset when getting mods?

My small tattoo is Tinkerbell's aviator, that exact flower, a pink gerbera just below my left hip. I love it, mine is in a slighter darker pink than Tinkerbells. There's no other colour, just the dark outline and all over pink. It is only seen if I choose, so I don't have to worry about covering it up say for work because of where it is. I called it my forward flower. Moving forward, after my Mum died. It was to represent : forward, future, faith, forget, forgive, and yes F. it ! If you like, but mostly was a marking to the future and I remember crying as I had it done. Not from pain, I felt no pain, marvelous stuff numbing cream. I cried as a sort of letting go, release, it was odd and I'll remember it. My Mum's death was still very raw, but it was my symbol of looking forward. My Mum would HATE my tattoo, Lord , I can hear her now !
I had my top ear pierced at the age of 38, mother of 2 kids, good job, respectful member of the community, my Mum went SPARE ! Seemly we're never too old to get a telling off !

Before the tatoo came the belly piercing, aged about 40. I was lovely and slim, and loved the diamonds in my belly button. Again, no one sees them unless I choose. My tummy isn't quite so flat now, but I still love them.
And no, I never did show my Mum my diamonds !

I always said I'd get another tattoo, I'd like a visible one, say round my wrist. My daughter has a pretty bracelet one, around her wrist. And a tattoo on her foot and up to her ankle.

Tattoos and piercings can be addictive, once you start. I would like a visible one, as mine is so pretty but of course outside the bedroom no one sees it. Your post made me think, and remember my tattoo and what it stood for, in my dense fog, I had forgotten.

Maybe a new tattoo would be something to think about when / if I emerge from this crippling depression. That would be great : Me happy, hair done, nails done, lose weight, new job, new man, new tattoo, new life, future, forward.
Thanks for this!

Navel, 6g in each ear and nose stud. I used to have my eyebrow done but I hated how it got caught on my shirts when I got dressed. I'm thinking about getting three little hoops on the tops of both of my ears and maybe a dermal in the center of my collar bone but IDK.

Kimical, don't go overboard with the piercings. Less is more, maybe. Just my opinion, anyway.

I've got a pretty plain tattoo on my left inner ankle. It says, "FTW"!! I now say that it stands for Feed the World.

LOL was this tattoo decided upon while under the influence of alcohol? I love your new excuse.

Yeah, that's why I don't know if I should get a dermal. I'm definitely getting the earrings though.

No alcohol was involved ~ just a pissed off attitude about life. I was 16 years old...living through a lot of rough times in very challenging places.

I have no tattoos (but have worn temporary tattoos), and my ears have two piercings, although I've had them pierced four or five times in the same holes. I had allergies but kept trying, and then I'd get frustrated and the holes would close up. I'm not having problems now, but I'm careful what kind of earrings I put in.

I love tattoos, and would love to see all yours, but I want to be able to change my tattoos to fit my mood and go with what I wear! LOL!
