This is a true story, that for some unknown reason came to my mind recently. Thought I'd share it, as I think it's so funny. Just shows you how little childrens' minds work.
It was about 20 years ago when I was expecting my son. There was another lady that I worked with, who was also pregnant. She had a daughter already who was about 4 years old.
When this colleague's pregnancy started to show, she decided it was time to tell her daughter that she was expecting another baby. She sat down and told her gently that she was having a baby. A baby brother, or sister, for her and that the baby was growing in her tummy. She let her feel the baby bump and she was quite happy with this news.
The pregnancy progressed and my colleague grew very large and heavy.
One day, she was moaning outloud, at her size saying she felt huge, and the daughter heard her.
'Mummy' she said 'Yes, sweetie' mum replied
'Well, Mummy, you know you said you've got a baby in your tummy ?'
'Yes, sweetie, that's right' said Mum.
The daughter then replied :
' Have you got the pram in there too ?'

I had to look up 'pram' because I have never heard that word before, but it was worth it (baby carriage) =)
