Why do people take pics of kids with not a lot on - even on TV - kids with just nappies on, WTF.

My ex friend showed me his sisters daughter - basically nothing on and in the police station - WTF - I didn't know what it was when I looked - I could have got arrested for that.

I hope that doesn't make me look like a paedo - I looked away straight away.

A picture of a child in a diaper taken by family is not unusual, nor is it pornography.

Yeah maybe by their parents - but showing just about a naked pic to a friend - if the police had seen that

I have diaper and bathtime pics of my nieces and nephews, I don't concider them porn, nor have I hesitated to show off how cute the pics are... I'm sure your ex friend meant you no harm in showing you a pic of his niece Kureha.

Thanks for the replies.

I wasn't sure if it was ok - it just freaked me out, I have enough problems without getting involved in that.

I don't even like the adverts.

Heck, I have a picture of my hubby getting a bath when he was a few months old. He's starkers in the picture. Definitely not porn. I think it's the context of the picture. People take pics of babies in nappies, or nothing, and it's not meant to be seductive. It's meant to show off a cute baby.

What bothers me is to see little ones dressed up in "sexy" outfits. It might not be child porn, but it bothers me. I saw a book in the store titled "Parents Stop Dressing Your Little Girls Like Sluts" or something similar. I cheered when I saw it.
Thanks for this!

The police don't care what you look at, they care if you sell or gather a whole lot of it, lots of pictures of children you don't know who they are (this was your friend's niece).

True...perception and intent determines porn, unless of course the acts of those in the photos tells its own story...Lizardlady hit the nail on the head, drawing ones attention as to be perceptive of kids or children to be sultry or sexy...what they are not to be, that's wrong. Move forward...

It's not porn but I wouldnt' distribute the photos freely on the internet either, because they could be used for that purpose.

I wouldn't even upload them to my personal facebook page, etc.

times havechanged so much. i have a picture of my friend and me, we were maybe 6, we're standing on the deck of their house, completely naked, right in front of her father. nothing unusual or porn-ish about it. we are standing with our butts to the camera. growing up in germany it was completely normal for small children to run around naked outside, no diaper or anything.
now criminals are starting to take over the world, and you have to worry about your kids every second they are not right there with you, even bundled up in winter clothes.

and i totally agree with clothes being way too sexy for small kids. i do not think small children need to wear two piece bikinis, or heels, or a face full of grown up makeup (playing dress up and imitating mommy at home is okay of course). at my son's preschool i saw a first grader with black knee high boots with heels and a skirt that barely covered her butt. who lets their little girl leave the house like that??? who would buy that stuff in the first place???

Welcome to the first day of your life

Just open up your eyes as I lay you down tonight
Safe on the other side
No more tears to cry

Maybe I over reacted a bit.

I hate stuff like that as well - it's stupid.

If I had kids I wouldn't put pics of them on facebook.

We're all born naked. We live in a paranoid society nowdays that's the real problem.
Thanks for this!
