Its hot here in Australia. Its 42 Celcius today, which is 107.6 farenheit. And they call Australia the lucky country. If thats someone's idea of lucky then they must be a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

Hello Chris! Welcome to Psych Central! That is definitely stinking hot! I hope you have good airconditioning. Is that an unusually high temp or is that about par for the course in your area?

Hi.

I've got air cond in here.At the moment its cool inside. When it gets hot inside I'll switch the aircond on.There's a cool change due in about 8.30pm tonight. Its 2.30pm here in Adelaide,Australia.

This isnt unusual for the new year. Its common to have temperatures around 100 Degrees farenheit plus.Anything inland of here is hotter.

Chris.

Considering it will fell like -24 C today or tomorrow with the wind chill, 42 above sounds delightful to me as a Canadian, right now

We had 70F weather last week after the week before being in the 20F's....now it's back down to the low 30F again & we had freezing rain Tuesday night. It was beautiful on the trees but nasty to drive in.

Yes stinking hot here. Some places go up to 45C or 51C. Its just plain cruel.
Some people go shopping and leave their dogs or kids in the car. Deaths are recorded. Living things just cook.

So be my guest buttercup.......... Have a holiday here on the stinking hot days.

I am no fan of the heat. Heat stroke is just lovely.......... not.

i have been watching the Australian Open tennis matches. the high heat is so hard on the players. i watched a match with 2 fair skinned players (Duckworth v. Kavcic) and the players were so sunburnt after the match it was not funny. the tournament needs the players to take suntan lotion breaks to protect their skin from burning!

Here in Adelaide its cooled down from 44C to around 25C.Its a cool, strong breeze and its very refreshing.

Its common in Australia to hear of kids and pets being left in vehicles on hot days.

With the sports here it still goes on regardless.

Sorry buttercup....... Hot weather makes me irritable. Never see snow where I live. Hope I come back as a seal that swims in the water.

I do feel sorry for the tennis players who have to play in the heat.

Would you like to swap houses from November to April each year..... lols.

temps are much different in Melbourne today! only 70 degrees F! windy with showers. the aussie open tennis matches are much better as the players don't have to deal with extreme heat.

Absolutely, we've got a thick blanket of snow here today. My husband nearly crashed twice on the way to work this morning and now the school where he teaches is closing so he'll have to do it all over again. My kids are loving it though
