None of us would ever do it but I think most of us have thought about it. It definitely crosses my mind sometimes.
How many times have you wanted to answer a post with tl;dr?

Here's naive me again. What do those initials stand for? I'm wondering if this place is good for an old lady like me. Yesterday I learned what FOAD means.......

I don't know what FOAD means...or the other, George. Enlighten me and I will use the knowledge wisely and I promise to use my power for good and not evil. Except on Haloween because I usually like to FOAD real bad on that day, I think.

BTW, I was just thinking, "George is one of those people!" and then BAM! Your status was immediately identical to my revelation, confirming beyond a shadow of a doubt my suspicions had been accurate all along. I just knew it.

Heck yes I've wanted to say that before. But I just pushed the back button quietly, and tip-toed out of the room like a shoplifter at Wal-mart..

That or you are controlling my mind So you're psychic? Did I spell that right? If you get that you become an official and irrevocable member of my favorite people list. Instead of a probationary member I mean

TL;DR. or TLDR is an acronym for Too Long, Didn't Read!

No, I have never had the desire to respond in this way, but I have found some posts that were really not something I was interested in knowing about, and didn't bother to finish reading them. I guess that is kind of the same thing.

No one should be offended, however, for I have started more books than I have finished, and I usually walk out halfway during a movie if I find it to be poorly conceived, or ridiculously portrayed.

Just me...I bore easily.

I think FOAD is ... erm ... Go Away
As it's a family site, I'll say it's similar to Fudge Off and Die.

Belloq, thanks for tl;dr. I didn't know that one. You've got me with LYLAB though.
Is it "<something> Laters and Bye" ?

It's flying by. I see....I see a darkness over the land...yes, total darkness. It's as if, almost as if the light source had become blocked by some massive, rather, gargantuan object in the sky. I see...why, it's Mayor Anise Parker...

Oh yeah, if I was controlling your mind...wouldn't I already know that I was psychic....wouldn't I be reaching into my wallet and texting my mastercard number (plus the three digit code on the back) to 713-XXX-XXXX as we speak...wouldn't I....

One time I threw Michael Berry off of his high horse (at the Rodeo) in an unfortunate slingshot incident eight years ago. That was before Mr. Obama was elected though so Mr. Berry was only yakking about how Bush's butt cheeks tasted like caviar....it was an accident....I'm still on parole

Very, very rarely. I don't mind reading long posts...that's not my point of contention. My problem is when the posts have zero paragraph breaks. Such a simple push of the enter key makes a world of difference.

This is my pet peeve with reading...when I am expected to know things that I cannot possibly know in order to make sense of the piece. Such as "You know how Bill does that thing". How the heck do I know Bill? What thing? Sometimes we forget to imagine the effect our word picture could have on our audience which is a tad frustrating. Mainly it is frustrating because I cannot understand enough to help in any measurable way due to the loss of the message I suppose. Good thread.

I do have problems following long posts sometimes. I'm a short and concise writer. I get lost in the words. ????
