the people that i want to be friends with don't want to be my friend, or at least that's what i think, considering they never approach me or anything. i'm just a little upset because everybody else is having a wonderful time knowing everybody else whereas the people that i want to know very well are just there to be friendly every now and then. they don't seem to talk to me in my own time. unless they need something from me, they will not talk to me. only my closest friends talk to me. i hate that. i want to branch out a bit. meet some new people. i'm always constantly worried about the friends that i have right now.

what worries me is that i don't get to keep them after high school. then again, people might change and you don't get to communicate with them in the same way you used to. like they might start getting snobbier than before. i hate when that happens.

Are they going off to college? Will you be going too? I think it will be different after high school. You'll be with a different group and that can be a good thing, gives you a fresh slate.

That is not necessarily true. You probably won't be in touch quite like you are now, but in our high-tech society you stand better chances than ever of makin a friendship last. When I graduated high school, long distance phone calls were very expensive and the computer wasn't used as it is today. Texting and emails didn't exist. You had to rely on snail mail to stay in touch at all. |
