I've decided to venture into the final frontier, for me, of knitting and attempt my first ever sweater, It's a long loose cardigan that I'm knitting in a dusty rose llama silk blend yarn. I'm doing it through a projects class at my knitting shop, where you sign up for for weeks and work on a project, with the aid of an expert knitter to assist with stuff you don't know how to do. It's really fun.

You are brave and courageous

It sounds like it's going to be beautiful. Good luck and I hope you'll post photos as you go, or when you have your sweater completed !

That's really cool. Knitting is fun (not that I know how to do it; I've tried a few times, and only get so far before giving up), at least the basic knitting I've done. Maybe you can get a pic when it's done and show us!

That sounds lovely. It's always more fun when you have others to knit with, too, and someone who can help if you run into problems. I'm sure it will turn out great!

Is that true? Maybe that's why I found knitting so restful back when I knitted.

Splitimage, your sweater sounds lovely. Can you post a picture of it when you finish?
Thanks for this!

I posted a picture of one that I would like. Could you knit me this one, split?

I applaud your goals, hun. I have little patience to stay with any one procedure for a long time. Good for you!

LOL Nicks_Nose,

I had a cat who used to do that. But frankly it looks more like a crochet project to me, than a knitting project, so sorry can't help.

I'll definitely post a pic, once it's finished.
