I have had huge success with rosehip oil. My skin was so bad that they told me the only way it would clear up was with very dangerous medications. Luckily someone on a forum gave me this hint before I went on them.

I used about 4 drops of pure rosehip oil on my face after a warm shower. May take a couple of weeks to settle but I just cannot believe the improvement in my skin since using it religiously.
Thanks for this!

Roaccutane mainly. Everyone I know that has taken it has ongoing problems years later with dry skin and vitamin A. It also causes fetal deformities and since I was unable to use hormonal contraception at the time this was a very silly idea on the doctors part. There were a number of other side effects that really put me off (worse than psyc meds). Its a last resort medication.

I also had treatment where they put needles into your pores and burn away the parts that cause pimples, this was painful and completely unnecessary. Can ya tell Im a bit sour from the whole experience? Constantly being told that I had to use specific expensive harsh chemicals on my skin, take awful medications and have painful treatments when all I really needed was 4 drops of rosehip oil a day.
Thanks for this!

IDK whether this is a good thing to do, but, I find that sometimes, putting a little dab of toothpaste on a spot, sticking a tiny bit of tissue over it, then leaving it for a little while, will dry it out, causing it to be easier to removed, and preventing it from coming back so with so much of a vengeance; I did this a fair bit, when my acne flared up, a few years ago, and did certainly notice the difference, especially for those spots that are more in the lump phase, and aren't in that, ... state when you can deal with them.

Spots are so disgusting, ... "God" really dropped the ball on that one.

Neutrogena products (washes, etc.) with Salycidic Acid are the best things I ever used. Clean pores very well.

I had a huge acne problem beginning in my 30's. I started using witch hazel at night to clean my face, and then St. Ives medicated apricot scrub every other morning in the shower. The acne went away, and it hasn't come back!
