That's cool tough guy but what's your opinion :P We have some fancy trucks down here and that "attitudinal styling" is interesting. I wondered if some guys were sitting around in an office/studio designing these trucks to project attitude. Now we know
![]() BTW I have a truck. I carry stuff in it. Sometimes my stuff ![]() |

Trucks are icons of a sort and the full size ones are uniquely American. Owners of these vehicles are by and large conservative and seek a masculine image. A couple of generations ago (in car terms not people terms) Ford attempted to make the F150 much more aerodynamic and the design was heavily derrided by truck enthusisasts as the "Feminine 150" The new Silverado is yet another indicator that "Macho" is not going anywhere in terms of truck design.

Yes Tim it's definitely a culture thing down here and probably in the south too. A lot of guys own trucks. Guys that would never think of putting anything in the bed of the truck except a cool bedliner and shiny toolbox... empty toolbox
![]() There are even sub genres of trucks/owners here. Bigass redneck trucks, lifted trucks you need a ladder to get into, lowrider trucks, fancy vato trucks, trucks with teeth in the grill, trucks with "balls" hanging from the hitch, trucks that barely even have a bed, trucks with 13" wheels, trucks with 26" wheels, work trucks, play trucks, etc etc My truck is called a W/T... it has a bench seat, 2 doors, and an 8' bed. It's ugly but I like it. It gets used like a truck. The grill says "I'll be in the driveway if you need me" ![]() |
