My doctor told me last week that I had to start moving my legs before I couldn't use them anymore. She recommended that I use the pool here at the park and do nothing more than walk back and forth at the shallow end five times. OH... MY... GOSH!!! MY LEGS ARE KILLING ME!!!

Then I had forgotten how I feel like I weigh 10 tons when I get out!! OH... MY... GOSH!!! There's nothing quite like feeling weightless... maybe I'll become a fish. Yeah! That's the ticket! I'm a fish! HAHA A fish petrified of the water. LMBO

I hurt... OH... MY... GOSH!!!

Sept...My legs are really bothering me too right now.
I know I need to walk or somethin'! I've injured knees and ankles in the past year and am reluctant to exercise!

Seeker, if your doc says you need some exercise, by all means do it in water!

Arthritis has set in on some injuries I've had in the past and I didn't say anything until my knees hurt too bad to walk on. I was always told to exercise in a pool but I held off because I didn't have one until not too long ago.

My legs are sore, but the rest of me feels so good!! You should try it! OH... MY... GOSH!!!

Sept...I guess the only pool to which I would have access is the Y which is a new facility here locally. I've resisted joining though several teachers visit there almost daily. I will check into it. Thanks!

Julia, I'm gonna try it a couple more times. If my back keeps hurting like it did, I'm gonna ask the dr about it. OH... MY... GOSH!!! I've got a couple of disks that are degenerating, too.

But I only walked the short end of the pool 5 times!! OH... MY... GOSH!!! Oh... ok! So I went around the corner a bit! And I did sit on the steps and do leg "drops". LOL The pushing came in when I would push my legs down. DANG, that was hard! OH... MY... GOSH!!!

I agree. It sounds like stiff muscles not used for awhile.
