- they say we are lucky to have 2 to 3 "BEST" friends with in our life time.

Yea I do. I have a few of them. and Im not going to put her name on here. placing friends names on line without their permission could lead to problems of that friend being located and possibly harmed my on line preditors.

as for first best friends that depends on if you consider relatives in the catagory of friends. My older sister has always been best friend, care taker when needed and partners in crime for late night swims, reading, and brushing each others hair.

If you dont consider family in the catagory of friends then my first best friend was a child that attended t he same clinic for the handicapped that I did. She lost her fight to Muscular Dystrophy while we were both still under the age of 10.

I had several best friends over the years...but my favorite one of all was Jane...We knew everything about each other and stood by each other anyhow...that is a true true friend.

Good thought process that you had there... I did not think about that when I posted her full name, but she has since married (twice) and that was over thirty years ago.

My 1st best friend was - Lisa...
We were born 9 days apart & lived across the road from each other.... like siamese twins.... even our school teachers called us the wrong names!!!

Beauitful thing is we are still best friends today!!!

My best friend was a girl names Casey K. she was a couple years older, but appreciated my imagination. We loved to play mothers, and be dramatic. Unfortunaley her father was terminally ill, and went through a hard time, then when her father did die, she completely changed....it was sad.

My best friend was Ed. We met in fifth grade and saw each other through college. I wonder where he is now.

I now have what I consider my "core 4" from various times and places in my life but most going back over 20 years. My first girlfriend though was Susie Heinsheimer; she'd come pick me up for school (1955-1958) and had to come through my brothers' (3 of 'em!) entrance/semi-basement room up to the main floor to get me and they'd be chanting, "It's a bird, it's a plane, noooo, it's Susie Heinsheimer!" If I wasn't nearly ready, my mother would make Susie go ahead to school and I'd have to rush to school alone, afraid I was going to be late. Ah, the good old days!
