Recently, a neighbor of ours, very physically disabled, fell out of bed rather badly and I believe he broke his jaw and a load of teeth; he was in so much pain, and was paralyzed there for the entire day. The man had an awesome dog of which kept nudging and licking him to wake him up (he was unconscious but coming to every now and again) eventually the dog got out of the house and made its way to the vet, of whom knew the dog and got the guy help. Doggie hero story. The end.
