Well, at least I do not have an insane (no pun intended) amount of snow all over. BUT thanks to all this cold we have extremely low water pressure (not even enough to fill the tank on our toilet, or adequately take a shower!) because pipes are not totally, but mostly frozen - and have been for about 1 week now.
We live in a mobile home - and the heat tape is working just fine - despite the fact we are broke the park did run on outdoor heater under our home for a good 3 hours (they normally want $145 up front to do that but with ALL tenants here complaining the health department got involved) and it only got marginally better!
So....I have no idea, some say keep complaining - I see no point - they DID honestly try, yes this is rediculious - but obviously they can't do anything about it - because they did go against normal policy and try - I could tell they tried hard - 3 hours with an outdoor heater blowing directly on our pipes, still NOTHING...
Me and my wife both need a correct shower badly (well, let's not get in to that too much, but all either of us can say is wow!), can't really get dishes cleaned the right way...
And we are not the only ones, it's the whole park!

God - Please, Please, PLEASE thaw my pipes and everyone elses - it's getting to smell bad all over - and I am tired of flushing with a bucket, and having it take literally about 10 minutes to fill that bucket!

AND this is with known good heat tape, AND valves left ALL THE WAY OPEN!!!

Thanks for this!

My water lines are frozen too. Solid. My water heater and part of my HVAC are on the same breaker and I woke up cold today and checked and the temperature in the main house was 53 and 45 in the living room. The breaker had tripped. No answer at my plumber's office so I called my HVAC folks so they took the water heater off the breaker box completely so I won't have to worry about that. I had the water co shut off my main valve because the valve inside the garage was frozen and I couldn't turn it. Also set my heat to emergency heat. I read all the instructions when I had the HVAC installed three years ago but it did not explain that. I've got lots of layers on and we will have frigid temperatures for at least the next week. To top it all off my microwave quit working and I was going to cook a tv dinner in the regular oven and I turned it on to preheat and after five minutes it smelled like something was on fire!

It has been a rough week here at the Yoda residence. Weather permitting I'll go to the grocer for sandwich stuff and stuff that requires neither microwave or oven. Ready for spring here.......

I have lived in 35 trailer but we always drained pipe in winter. If the under part of the trailer is closed off with a tarp, an incandescent light bulb or two may throw off enough heat, but it might take a space heater or small ceramic heater to raise temp. Even 40 degrees would be enough to thaw. Try on Sunday temps going into 40's. maybe the water is frozen in the pipe from the mobile home park.

Be careful Sunday. When goes to forty you could have water streaming out of your faucets.

If pipes are damaged, the water may not get through. Check for leaks on Sunday when warms up.

Keeping a small stream flowing after Sunday may keep pipes from freezing.

How about a Motel 6 for a night. Treat yourself.

It didnt snow very much one winter in Anchorage, AK. The cold penetrated so deep in the ground the sewer lines were freezing. That made for a really nasty mess.

I've always imagined it would be extremely difficult to live in snow

Now - NO WAY, SOMEBODY IS STRAIT UP TELLING LIES TO SOMEBODY!

It get plenty warm enough yesterday that I KNOW these so called "frozen" pipes would have thawed!

Well - guess what? - 90% of the park STILL did not have water (me included).

AND we have been hearing rumours that the main issue is that a main pipe cracked under the road - and they don't want to fix it because of that, but nobody seems to be able to confirm that.

If true I can see some pressure still getting through, but little (like it is, was yesterday - and has been since last Monday! Now yes they did disconnect my trailer from there line, and I saw water coming out of it - but I have some inside, and did - I NEVER saw anything to prove it was at the pressure it should be!

Frankly - none of us believe the frozen pipe theory (come on EVERYBODY - and the few that are o.k., I'll bet are on a different main!)

SORRY but we all believe they are full of s*@t - and the broke pipe rumour makes much more sense!
