Can't count the number of times they took off more than I asked. It's one reason I cut my own hair now. My all time favorite was the stupid "stylist" who took off inches more than I asked for. Then when she saw the expression on my face asked "Is it too short?" I wanted to ask if she planned on gluing it back on if I said yes.

Yeh, me too. There's a reason we call them furbabies.

That just reminds me of my twin cousins. Had long hair, my grandmother gave them a bowl pixie cut. They looked at me, said F, don't ever let her cut your hair.

I hate the haircutters that do WHAT THEY WANT. I don't know in other countries, but at least all the people who have cut my hair here are... horrible. Imagine you tell them to cut one inch, but they think it'll look better if they cut two inches, THEY WILL CUT TWO INCHES, no matter what you say.
I'm sorry I needed to vent
Hugs,
Tom

One trick I've learned is always telling the person cutting your hair that you want it a few inches longer than the photo, what have you. Even in a verbal explanation. After I started doing that, I never got a bad haircut again. But now I cut my own hair so haha

I often have the opposite problem that when you ask for this much to be trimmed off, they always cut less and I feel bad when I ask them to cut more off. Sometimes I get so frustrated with my own hair that I will get the scissors out and cut my own hair. Only I cant see around the back and I have to ask for help.

I got my hair cut this week. I wear my hair in a bob now. No fringe. All I want is for my hair to be cut straight along the bottom. Did they do that.... no. I got home and saw all these bits longer than the others so I still have to give my own hair a trim. Next time I am gonna get very specific.
