I decided to take advantage of the "town-wide" yard sale. I was moving stuff in the garage, and fell. I thought I had just bruised myself, but when I stood up, there was a gash down to the bone, bleeding profusely. My neighbor took me to the ER, and I had 7 stitches. Still, wanting to complete the yard sale goal, I got up at 3 a.m. in the dark and hauled out all the stuff. I expected "throngs" of people, but there was just a dribble, and I made about $175. The sale was advertised by the town as from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. I was so tired, and so few people were coming by, I was taking intermittent naps on the sofa. The time of 2 p.m. passed and I was thereafter outside at 2:30 moving stuff to my outbuilding. My MEAN neighbor came out several times to observe me. A nice mixed race couple came by at 3 p.m. while I was moving stuff, and they actually bought several major things from me. My MEAN neighbor came out on her porch...I'm serious!...and yelled at us....several times..."You're a lawbreaker, *****, the sale ended at 2!" The nice couple looked at me and asked , "what the??" I have to add, nobody abides by the 2 p.m. closure. Some people leave things out till evening! The wife of the couple, who was a big strapping woman with tattoos, looked at me and said..."That's harassment! I'd be over there beating the crap out of her!"
After the couple left, I called my nice neighbors to help me move the rest of the stuff to my outbuilding.
I'm afraid of my mean neighbor. She's unbalanced.

(((Seeker1950)) - so sorry you hurt yourself...where is the bad cut? Wow that neighbor is mean and sorry you went through this. She needs to leave you alone. Could you ask the police to warn her not to talk to you? Hope this cut heals soon.

Mean neighbors leave a dark cloud hanging over everything. I don't suppose she is just cranky from loneliness? I doubt there is any law.

As for the mean neighbor. She sounds like a real lula. Sadly, I believe every neighborhood has one. I live out in the boonies. So the distance is greater, but my immediate neighbor is similar to yours. Given the frame of mind I've been in lately I probably would've responded to her with vulgarities.

The woman was a big ol' gal with a tiny little Black fella.

I was hoping for something a bit more exciting than that but okay Reminds me of my buddy Z and his LTGF from back in my musician days. Z was average sized but very nice and very soft spoken offstage... and black as night. C on the other hand was while not loud exactly was not a wallflower type. Also pale and redhaired. Opposites attract sometimes. She gave him an unnecessary warning once about female fans that I almost died laughing over. Can't tell that story here though
