I went to a Blake Shelton concert last night. For those of you who don't know him he is a country singer known for "heck" raising redneck and sweet love songs. Yeah, strange combination. He has also been the winning coach on The Voice three times.

I posted in the "Myle Cyrus" thread in the music sub-forum about the X-rated behavior of some audience members. not getting into it here....

I also mentioned buying tickets for the concert in my "stuff" thread in the general forum. Short version is that the friend who was supposed to go with me backed out leaving me stuck with a very expensive ticket. I tried my darnedest to sell, then give the ticket away. I couldn't even give it away! I ended up walking along the line of people waiting in line to buy tickets offering it to people for free. I found a guy who wanted to know what had to happen for him to get the "free ticket". I told him all I had to do was hand it to hi, which I did. He looked kind of stunned. Made me feel good to be able to do something nice for someone else.

now, finally (!) to the concert.... I HAD A FANTASTIC TIME!!!! I screamed my lungs out, sanf along with every song and danced my legs off. I got a chance to let my redneck side shine! I also came to a realization during the concert. I keep my redneck, country girl side buried at work. I work with a bunch of girly girls who look down on anyone not like them. I decided last night that this is who I am. If they don't like it let go hang!

Glad you had such a good time

I love Blake Shelton!! I don't know a lot of his music. But I am a big fan of the Voice. I am addicted to the show. And he is so handsome!
