Interesting. The next time someone urinates me off, I'll just play Make-Believe that they are a wonderful, kind, caring individual - maybe I can fool myself into not being so angry and hurt.

I think that is a wonderful sentiment. I believe in that too.

I've never found nastiness to get anybody very far. Kindness does so much more good, and outlives itself so much more.

Returning ugliness and bad behaviour with more bad behaviour only escalates the cycle. It's alright to let someone know they're out of line, you just don't have to add to the problem. Don't lower yourself to their level.

I always try to make a conscious effort to give people the benefit of the doubt. I don't know what this person's life has been like or what they've gone through. I guess everyone has a story. The only problem is is that sometimes I get so blinded by my rage or distress that I just assume the worse. I keep trying though.

Well, now ... Let me see ... The mother who raped, beat and brutalized me for 33.5 years ... Um, NO! ... I don't think any goodness of any kind is in there ... Unless you count the fact that she's dead now ... Then, yeah, that's good.

Sorry, but I simply cannot bring myself to waste my time trying to find goodness in evil people.

I will have absolutely nothing to do with them, though.

That works well enough for me!
