I'm on my way to the park to see a Spirit Bear exhibit with my honey and the Bears. Just taking it relatively easy today, super excited for my first day of school - orientation tomorrow. How about everyone else?

September is gearing up to be a very busy month for me between work and traveling to my parents (5-6 hour drives one way) for various family obligations...so yesterday and today were spent taking it easy. Just spent the day reading than my hubby and I went out to dinner tonight.

On that day, I was working.
On this day, I am working.
A four hour shift of patrolling the grounds and relaxing pretty much.
In the winter it sucks but it's great now with the beautiful weather.

I did something stupid last night and took my morning meds, which included two doses of ritilin. The night was awful. I could not sleep and I was constantly getting out of bed to check something or other. My mind was racing. Finally, sometime after 6am I fell asleep. I developed a migraine and went into the bathroom I realized my mistake.

I am so sorry that I missed what seemed to be a beautiful daym
To sleep, I needed to use my stromg migraine meds, so I took 2. Finally got up at 7pm and after taking the correct beds was in bed by 9:30pm. I have no idea if I can sleep tonight.

That's awful.
Hope you sleep tonight.
I had only a couple hours sleep Sunday night and then had over 15 hours last night.
What even is a sleeping 'pattern'?

I seem to sleep all day. No reason to get up. Dear Lord, answer my prayer. Just give me a reason. To feel, to breathe fresh air, to bond, hear a human voice, to laugh, to smile, to talk, to feel, to love. Motivate me, guide me. Sorry, I touched, on your post, and talked about me. Sorry. Just how I feel. Not sleeping, then sleeping all day, to not face the world, that's me. Migraines too. Blot it all out. My sertralene keeps me awake, then I sleep all day. Knocks me out eventually, and yet another day passed. Nothing done, except a shower and back to bed. Sorry, am spieling about me. Take care, with the meds. Be careful. Best wishes.

You apologised three times.
Why are you apologising anyway?
Talk about yourself as much as you want, that's fine.

You need to get outta the rut. I'm in the same boat but I work. I spend whatever I earn though, so I'm living the same week over and over again. Never moving forward.

This thread hasn't been active for a while, just thought I would resurrect it. How is everyone doing? I had a pretty uneventful day except I lost power at my house for a couple of hours.

OK, here's a story, ... well, ... it's more of a confession, but who cares!

I'm a pretty decent (mainly acoustic - not bothered with electric in many years) guitarist; been playing for 10 or more years. I play or have played blues, rock, metal, and classical. But guess what, ...

<CONFESSION>I have never strung a guitar</CONFESSION>

I'd like to say I know how, since I've seen my dad and other people string a guitar a million times, and for me, tuning it, is not rocket-science, so I'm fine with that part - I've avoided stringing one for my entire guitarist years, but avoiding tuning it is practically impossible, unless you like, ... hire a tuner. ¬_¬ And I tune entirely by ear, none of that electrical nonsense. Granted, if I'm playing alongside a track/song, I might shoot for as close a tuning to the track/song, as possible, by using a PC one that plays a tone, then you match it.

Why haven't I ever strung a guitar? Well, I've just gotten into the habit of giving the guitar to my dad and saying "Can you string this for me, please?" I'm betting he loves it. I've only strung one string before, I think, and it was pretty easy; it was on a classical guitar. I'm pretty sure I could figure it out on an acoustic/electric. xD

In my defense, I do tend to keep strings on a guitar for years and years, although I do have 4 or 5 guitars.

When I get a place of my own (in progress) I'll start doing it myself, since I can't very well pester him to come over and string the guitar for me, ... or can I?

The End

I couldn't sleep, so rebooted my laptop, and started researching some more. Then, I decided that, after looking at the clock, going to sleep, then, would result in a missed alarm clock. Don't need to miss hearing the alarm, I'm in charge of getting the kids to school, on time. That wouldn't be good, to run late, in that department. ahh, well, only 2.5 more hours until my alarm is set to go off. Maybe a cup of coffee will taste good right now. If I decide to actually go out to the kitchen, right now, and make it

I don't know how you leave strings on so long. The guitar would sound horrible.
It's very easy to re string a guitar so it's ridiculous you don't know how to do it.
It's like not knowing how to do an oil change.
You have to do it. It's easy anyway.

Wow, thanks for that lovely post of yours, Alt77.

As I said, I will start doing it when I move out, and my dad nor I mind him stringing it once in a while, so what does it matter?

I know it's easy to do, did I say otherwise?

My guitar sounds fine enough, thanks. I don't mind leaving strings on, as long as they don't sound too bad. I do as I do, you do as you do.

You know what, I posted what I did in the name of friendly humor, thinking you'd twig on that.

If I can build a computer, play the guitar, and teach myself a language, I think I manage stringing a guitar, but thank you for the condescending message.
