For most of us no, it wont be too bad at all. People already living in high flood risk areas should probably be thinking about moving important things upstairs. Obviously most people should stay inside if only to keep the roads clear for the emergency services to get to anyone in need or so the power/phone companies can fix the lines asap.
The 60-80 mph winds thats are predicted will be just occasional gusts. Nothing especially scary at all. The biggest danger is to stupid people who decide to do stupid things, like an acquaintance of mine who seems determind to head out on his boat this evening...

I live in the SW, which is the area that is supposed to be worst affected and first hit.
It's very windy here, but it's not supposed to be getting really bad until this evening.
It's supposed to be 80mph winds, so we have taken precautions.

We live in the south west so we brought in the guinea pigs and some other garden stuff, but mostly it's just been raining and it's a little bit windy. It wasn't really what I was expecting but maybe it'll build up?

I'm in the south east. It's raining and was very windy last night, but it's okay so far.

My cat is furious with me for not letting him out.
