So if a Vampire bites a werewolf, does the werewolf become a vampire or does the vampire grow fur and how at the moon?

Werewolf all the way. Raw savagery and power win over being a walking corpse any day. Even the Anne Rice type vampires (we won't even address the glittery vampires ... they don't count as vampires).

I would argue that a vampire bitten by a werewolf would not change as since vampires are walking corpses; essentially a zombie inhabited by an evil spirit that needs human life to stay active in the body. The disease of lycanthropy could not affect a vampire since there are no living systems to infect.

On the other hand, if a vampire bit a werewolf, it wouldn't mean anything unless it bit it in such a way as to turn it. Then the lycanthropy would be cured leaving a normal vampire. The disease of lycanthropy couldn't affect a dead body.

(Old legends say that if a werewolf is killed, it's head has to be cut off and the body buried at a cross-roads or it will return as a vampire. The tortured body of the beast is an excellent host for the evil spirit that would inhabit a vampire.)

Vampires Vs. Werewolves
Uh you forgot one

Vampires Vs. Werewolves

Technically he is a 1/2 Vampire, but he would be a considerable challenge, super strength, speed and endurance, along with tactical skills and an impressive arsenal of weapons might make the Lycanthropes think twice before crossing him. On the other hand since Blade is a vampire hunter the wolves may hang back and let him do the work for them.

Vampires have that attractive appeal about them. But that's it.

Come on. Werewolves! The old fashioned form aren't that appealing. But this new fangled, transform into something that resembles a wolf but MUCH bigger thing... you have to admit it's pretty freaking awesome. I would love to travel the world that way. On all fours, fast as ever. Plus, I love anything in the canidae family. So, there's that.

Vampires are seductive. I believe, to a point, they were created based on fantasies... but werewolves... they have that primal strength. If we're talking Freud's theory, I would say that vampires can be traced back to the sexual part of the id, whereas werewolves would be aggression. Which is a strange way to look at it, but I am strange. I'll take that primal aggression over seduction any day of the week.

And also. They're fluffy!

Vampire. I have a thing about them.

But also, turning into a were every full moon would be painful and I'd be worried about who I killed while I was a were when I turned back. If I was a vamp I could restrict my killings to people who deserve it more in society (not that I agree with the death penalty) but I could target people who committed heinous crimes. Then there's the wandering round naked until you find clothes when you turn back assuming you don't have the control of your mental capacities the same in were form. Also weres age, if slowly, but they still age as opposed to the almost guaranteed immortality of vampirism. Also as a woman, pmt is bad enough once a month, I'm guessing weres can breed so then I'd have to still cope with the pmt but also have the full moon shizzle to deal with too. Also the whole pack mentality of weres. Animals still conform to pack mentality so I'd be controlled somewhat by an Alpha male, where as in the vamp world the same sexism doesn't seem to exist…

… not that I've thought it all out or anything.

I voted vampire, but if I could choose something else, I'd say a witch.

Werewolf. There is something about the full moon that wants to make me howl.

Also, as a werewolf you don't need to hide in the dark all the time, you can go on with your life and sometimes let your other side out.

Suits me fine.

Werewolf. I think twilight ruined me on vampires forever.
Go wolves! But not telepathic talking ones. Ugh. Twilight didn't help the wolves either.

If I could be one or the other, I'd definitely be a Vampire. There's a certain power and erotic aspect involved in the draining away of someone's life blood. Then again, we all know there's no such thing, right!
