Ok, I've never lived on mainland but Okinawa was the bomb!! Their culture is amazing and I would give my left toe to be back there!! No violence and much respect for all.

I remember watching the school children cross the street. They would throw up one arm and begin across the roadway and the drivers would stop, as that was the 'signal' for crossing the street. Another amazing thing to me was the fact when you pulled into a gas station their was a guy with a white button up shirt and a bow tie waiting to fill your tank and wash your windows.

I hope you fly into Osaka as it a wonderful airport on a man made island. They are so creative and respectful; I miss being there!

Yaki Soba for all!
