Poor goggies. That's hilarious.

We have basset hounds which are utterly useless for home security. To busy being lazy to bark at intruders ...

I have a lab pit mix, and don't knock on my door or come into my yard. She may lick you to death.

Too funny. My current dogs are also not a good security system unlike the last, as the one runs from strangers and the other thinks everyone is here to play with her. The cat used to ignore almost everyone. So that's why an actual security system was put in.

I admit I didn't watch the video yet... but it's been known for a long time about Golden Retrievers...they love everyone and once the burglar breaks in, they will be glad to show them the safe!

Where do cats get that steely confidence. That was so worth watching. Thanks.

The poor goggies would only fail if it was a cat burgler!

When my poor Al was a pup we had a cat we nicknamed the samuri cat she was so wicked with her claws. She would sit on top of a popcorn tin and swat him when he walked by. Today he is still terrified of the cats if they give him the death stare.

My last dog was a Shih-Tzu. Never barked. And as someone else said, she would have been glad to lead them to the safe!

My parents had a dog, Gentle Ben the yellow lab, that was scared of the cat. The cat's name was S$#thead. He would lay down across the little hall to the kitchen and if Ben tried to step over him he would reach up and smack poor Ben in the gonads.

Of course Ben got beat up by a pheasant once ... and couldn't swim ... and got his head stuck in the cookie jar ...

He certainly earned the name Gentle Ben.

I actually had sort of an attack cat. Burt didn't seem to like men. When a salesman came in my place once to price out moving me, 6-month old Burt jumped and totally grabbed onto the bottom of his leg and bit him. This is only one incident.

One time my sister was coming over daily to feed and care for animals while I was gone. She said Burt unsettled her because he was stalking her the entire time. He definitely was a one-person cat.

Never mean to me, and if he saw me walk in a room he would instantly start purring. I miss him.

I never see my dog as a home security system. He is so lovely and I treat him like my son. And I don't like people who treat their dog as a security system. If you are looking for a security system, you should install a system for that instead of making the poor dogs as the system. What I have installed is a Videorelay unit. I got it installed from AlarmForce Videorelay at Mississauga, Ontario. It is working pretty well. It alerts me with an email with three pictures whenever someone approaches my home while I am away. And I have a big suggestion to all of you. Please treat your dog just like your kid, they are so adorable and loving. They give back the love you give them
