...specifically, radio stations targeted at teens and young adults (like Capital FM in London, UK), have you ever called the radio station and "got on air"? Did you find it nerve-wracking? Oh, and if you're female...

how many times did you laugh during the chat with the radio presenter?

This isn't teen stuff or young adults....but there is a radio program on from our big city that has trivia questions weekly....got to know them so well by calling in......the radio program is actually one presented by a local car dealership.....I love it...& really miss having that connection with them weekly when I end up busy Friday mornings.

Think sometimes in small towns, it can be a very social & enjoyable thing....but don't think I would feel the same where I lived in Calif.....I would have been nervous......can definitely understand what you are saying in most cases
