I would move to Southwest New Mexico. I love the terra vista's, the rock and the warmth. Sand. So beautiful.

i don't know really i would say new orleans just because it's so hot there, the scenery, the music, the cute shops, being able to drink on the streets, the cool bars but i wouldn't want live in a bowl below sea level. the whole hurricane thing isn't making it seem very inviting. maybe somewhere in California. because it's not Canada that's why haha

If I had enough money, I'd build an energy-efficient house somewhere away from civilization where I can stock up on food/water every year and live there for a while temporarily. Then, I probably wouldn't stay fixed. I'd travel around the U.S., Canada, and Europe. If I had to stay fixed, it'd most likely be somewhere in the U.S., but I'm not sure where yet.

Bodega Bay, California and this is why ...

The weather is amazing, the food is amazing, the people are friendly, the seals are lazy, the cliffs are beautiful, it's just north of San Francisco ... what's not to love!?

Oh ... yeah ... the cost of living is INSANE!

Italy, straight up= very liberal, open, uncensored- the people are more open an accepting- very beautiful and great weather- lots of great place to eat and sights to see Plus my mothers side of the family is from there- so I might venture up and visit the little mountain town my great grandmother was from.

I love California. I honestly think it's the best place to live. Where else can you travel to the beach, mountains, Forrest, lakes, and valley all in one day?

If I could I'd stay right where I am in southern California, but when my current job runs out I'll have to go somewhere with jobs and an affordable cost of living.

I would definitely live in two different places. I like where I live, the Southwest, for 8 months of the year. I would love to be able to go to somewhere quite cool for the 4 hot months.

Nowhere in the USA is cool enough to suit me for the summer, except, maybe, Alaska. I'ld live there . . . on the coast somewhere. Or . . . I might live somewhere in one of the Maritime provinces of Canada . . . in some quaint fishing town . . . but just from mid-May though mid-September.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be, and why.
Thanks for this!

A little seaside village in Japan. Maybe Okinawa. Yes, I'm a Japanophile, but I've actually been there and it's gorgeous. I'd just have to avoid becoming a salaryman in Tokyo and live a simpler life.

I'd live in a wee village in Germany because small towns are cozy and, in Germany, every small town has its own brewery.

alaska.

really.... i watched this documentry, and it was about the least populated places in the world- and this msmall village in alaska came up (i can't remember the name), but it's so small... i'd have not many people to bother me, at all- and the weather in alaska is usually cold, just how i like it

before i saw this programme i'd have said texas- as i've a lot of online friends from their- so they tell me a lot about the place. so if i moved their, i'd know where i am if that make sense..

Ive always wanted to live in America. I dont know whether its because I was brought up on American shows like Charlies Angels and Hill Street Blues or there is a genetic pull because somewhere there all of my fathers mothers family migrated from Ireland, except her (she stayed in Ireland then married locally and had her family) My Dad only told me after I told him Id always felt like I was supposed to live there. I dont know where exactly Id like to live though, such a huge place.
Thanks for this!

Come back "home" hon!

As for me, I love my farm out in the boonies. My idea of a good vacation is being able to stay home and play with my critters. So I'd say I would go right on living here.

If I had to pick somewhere else I would say Ireland. I love the country and I love the people. I especially love the area around Galway.
