Instagram Account Captures ?Miserable Men? Shopping With Their Ladies | Bored Panda

Do you do this, bring your partner shopping and leave them bored? Or, conversely, are you a partner who has this done to them?

What happens with me is a bit different, but I did find these quite amusing.

My wife and I go shoping together frequently. If she wants to shopping somewhere that I'm not interested in going, since we both carry phones I just tell her to give me a call when she's done and I'll rejoin her... I then go do what I want to do until I'm summoned by "SHE who must not wait".

She does the same thing with me. I can't understand why, but she doesn't seem to be very interested in spending an afternoon wandering through a good hardware or tool store. Go figure!

The husband drop-off point is basically a take on the kids drop-off point. Amusing to some, demeaning to others.

Dude, I wish I could go somewhere else and then get summoned. If I wander off my wife gets all hurt that I didn't want to look at skirts with her.

Personally, I would rather go to electronics and get a lap dance from the plasma TVs.

Well, I am a girl and I would rather shop alone (completely). I don't want anyone waiting on me. It makes me feel pressured.

If someone is kind enough to wait for me to shop he is going to get a big kiss and a steak afterwards.

No woman should take a man lady shopping. Its soul destroying, him getting irritated and bored and angry! Take sis or mum or a friend. Go alone. I do. I dont give a beep about a mans opinion on my perfume, clothes or home stuff. However ALL men should suffer with the food shopping chore and should be made to push the trolley and fetch the items from the shelves and stand waiting whilst the lady wanders and ponders and barks the orders. Though Id rather do that alone too why should they be let off the hook? They wanna sit and watch tv while wifey goes hunting too then comes back and cooks... Tssst!

I dunno... One of the best shopping experiences I ever had was when we went to Nordstroms so my wife could buy some new, lah-tee-dah fancy "intimates"... We both spent a great few hours together. I never knew bras could be so damned expensive!!! Over 80 bucks for a fancy halter thingy??? OMG! And 30 bucks for a pair of lacey underpants? Oh, excuse me. I meant to say "panties"... I mean, it all LOOKS wonderful, but then... well... OK, the underwear looks nice too, but over an hundred and ten dollars for just one set of underwear??? Whoa... and we bought 3 sets... Hmmmmm... It sure opened MY eyes! Uh... no pun intended...

I guess I must be some sort of defective freak of nature or something. I mean, do most guys REALLY hate shopping with their significant other that much? Is it really THAT boring for them? REALLY??? I guess I've never noticed that many guys out shopping with their other halves...

I dunno....

But I'm SURE there are LOTS of guys that like shopping with their wives and girlfriends... Well, but never both together...

Dan

Ba-da-BUM! Everybody's a comedian! i just bought myself some man shorts, 4 pair for $12 - these things wear like iron! And cheap?!! And they dont ride up your crack! And you can answer the door in them without looking half nekkid cuz they go halfway down your thigh. Ladies underwear is a ripoff. Uh...

Thirty three years ago (when we got married) my husband and I agreed to shop alone unless we were shopping for an item we would both use i.e. house, sofa, car, etc. I don't shop much and neither does he but when I want to shop for myself I am glad I don't have to be concerned about him waiting for me (same for him).

Occasionally I see a man standing around in the women's department waiting for his significant other while she shops and wonder why he doesn't have something else he would rather be doing (the only exception I see is if the people are elderly and need assistance). Life is too short to spend it waiting in a department store ...

No---------------!!!!! Would never go there.

Husband is a bona fide foot-on-the-accelerator guy, just leaving the driveway. I would never dare take him shopping, of any kind.

These days, shopping has actually become my kind of me-time, alone-time, away-from-the-house peace and quiet.

No, I would never take a man shopping. Unless he REALLY expressed an interest in going with me.

But I just don't see that happening.
Thanks for this!

I don't have to go shopping with my wife. She goes with her mother and sister and it is a all day thing.

When I go to the store guess what I do? I go directly to the items I went for without stopping any where in between, get my items and go directly to the registers, to my car and back home. This is a difficult concept for many women to grasp.

sometimes i go shopping with my mum, who buys me things.

A week later she receives a box in the mail and it's all the things she bought me, ripped to shreds.

I've had to do that a couple of times, but she doesn't take me shopping any more.

I would never take a man shopping with me. I don't see the point in torturing us both!

I didn't know people practice such heinous crimes on supposed loved ones in public!!

I mean if you need a lift, you have a cellphone (I assume) so whyyy oh why make someone wait on you as if he has nothing better to do with his time???

I hate malls, I hate queues, I hate looking for things in my size, I just hate every aspect of shopping.

Unless hypomania kicks in then I go on a spending spree and shopping is bloody amazing! Until I crash and see all the money I spent on crap that is...

On a non bipolar day I go in, walk straight to whatever it is I want, go pay for it and leave.

I don't dilly dally in the shops and actually get irritated with the shoppers who look like they're on a once in a lifetime field trip. Like have you NOTHING better to do or see???

Anyone, sister or friend who wants me to go on shopping trips knows they'll get the middle finger and a good eyerolling as an answer.

I don't go clothes shopping often, but when I do I bring my boyfriend. I have autism so I don't understand what looks good and goofy sometimes so my boyfriend helps me pick clothes for me. I dress a lot nicer now because of him

That link was great btw and gave me a good laugh.
