So I have been playing MMORPGS for many years now and I have recently been interested in LARP (live action role play) and I really don't know where to get started since I'm new to it and I don't know anyone that's active in the larping community. So if anyone does larping or can help me understand what I need to do to get started I would appreciate it thanks!

Hi there! I too am a table top role player. I have never Larped before, but like you I would be interested in trying it! My suggestion would be to find your local comic book store and ask someone there. Many times the store themselves carry on games of all kinds after hours and if not they might be able to lead you in the right direction... happy gaming!
Thanks for this!

I started playing Dungeons & Dragons when it first came out waaaay back in the day. At that time there were a few isolated incidents where someone got waaaaay to into their character and when their character died they committed suicide. Since that time I've always been a little squeamish about taking it to the Live Action level. I realize those events some 30-40 years ago were isolated and exceptional, but it just seems a little too involved for me.
Thanks for this!

Well I don't think I am going to get that serious about it I just want something to do on the weekends get into costume, have some fun and make some real friends. Thanks for the post! I was worried nobody would reply.
