I saw an article on Psych Central called the benefits of kissing. Lowers depression, gets up some feel good hormones. Pretty sweet. Made me think of my ex, the best kisser I knew. He had a pretty full mouth for a boy and his soft blond hair would fall over his eyes when we kissed and our kissing would make these noises, these delicious noises and I'd want to live in his mouth I liked him so much. Sweet little angel. If you're depressed, try kissing. Lol.

This right here. smh. Obviously, you've never been to a bar.

My favorite kisser is my best friend. I think it's because I was truly in love with her at the time. She has perfect soft lips and I felt electrified kissing her.

I haven't kissed anyone in almost 10 years…wouldn't it be funny if I were magically "cured" if someone ever kissed me. Too bad that won't happen.

And I disagree with the implication that going to a bar will get you kissed. The amount of alcohol required to make me initiate a kiss with a stranger or even someone I knew really well would kill me. I'm just as shy, no matter how drunk I am. Besides, why force someone to kiss you?

I would if I weren't single. Kissing happens to be one of the things I miss the most.

Nothing wrong in saying that. I feel the same way, sometimes, ... OK, often.

Generally speaking it's rather the place to go if you have any self-confidence, which is why I rolled my eyes. There's 7 billion people in the world and there's no one willing to kiss you?

Besides, this thread is not about am I capable of kissing someone but rather do I enjoy kissing?

That's what it seems anyway. A statistical anomaly yes, but at the moment it's true. Although, I don't know how to tell if someone is willing to kiss me or not and I'd rather not risk getting hit in the face if I kiss someone unwilling.

But back to the original question, out of the two times I kissed someone (both times it was the same person) I enjoyed it once and didn't get any enjoyment out of it the other time. So I suppose I can see the benefit of the occasional simple, closed-mouth kiss…though I'm willing to bet that that's not what the OP was referring to.
Thanks for this!

Really wishing my boyfriend didn't live 1100 miles away, because I know a good makeout session would work wonders. His kiss has always made me feel better and I really need that right now.... Can't wait to move back home in May. I might just tackle him and test this theory fully lol

You are right. I've kissed people in bars. It isn't the same if you're not in love. I have to be very much in love to enjoy kissing someone.

I've made out with a GAY MAN in a bar! xD

Gay guys can "turn straight" when they're drunk just like straight girls making out with other girls. It's adorable.

I personally love the kisses I get in the morning when I'm just about to wake up......Leo, my eskie dog walks up to my face & starts giving me his sweet kisses.......he also kisses me when he wants something like open the door of the truck & let me OUT....he will stand on my lap looking out the window & I tell him he has to kiss me first....he's turn his head & give me a huge lick on the face then turn quickly to look out the window again.

Tawny has very few kisses to give, but when she does then are sweet & gentle & you know it comes from way inside her heart......while JoGI if full of young puppy kisses even though he's no longer a puppy.....every time he sees me.

Yep, even Dog kisses are therapeutic.....& I have to say.....a lot more meaningful than any of the kisses I had from my ex all the 33 years I was around him.

Personally I don't like to kiss....more the hugging sort of person when I feel that is appropriate which isn't often & only with good friends.....feel much safer with the hand shake personally.

You walked into that one. My point is that there ARE people ready and willing to kiss you, and as I said before, this is supposed to be a fun and lighthearted thread.

Now that I've got high self-confidence, I'm not kissing anybody (except for that gay guy, but I was just rolling with it). I think it's because now I'm treating myself better and I'm more picky about who I get close with.
