I got a call today from my mom that my uncle is in the hospital. He has a gull bladder infection along with another infection that the doctors can't seem to find where it originated. They are doing a bunch of tests. He went into cardiac arrest because his heart rate was 150 so now they have him on a respiratory machine and heavily sedated to keep his heart rate at a normal rate until they find out which antibiotics are going to work. They don't know if the infection has reached his blood stream or his organs yet so again more tests. I live in Virginia and he lives in Vermont which is an average 10-12 hour drive. So I have this weighing heavily on my mind.
My father in law was taken to the hospital today because he couldn't breath. he had pneumonia and they are running all kinds of tests on him he has 15 pounds of water weight, his liver is inflamed, his heart is stretched out and still working on finding answers on whats going on with him. My husband is staying up at the hospital tonight with him. I am here at home with our 2 yr old with all this weighing on my mind and I don't know what to do. I am at my wits end. I am not good at handling this kind of emotional distress wondering if they are going to be okay.

I don't see that there is much you can do, with having a child to take care. Just think positive thoughts. I'm sure they are being well looked after by you mom and your husband. You take care of you and the little one.

We found out that my father in law has congestive heart failure and that they misdiagnosed his pneumonia which means he has had congestive heart failure for a month and they said it looks like he has had a few small heart attacks that he didn't know he was having. His heart is twice the size it should be. Though he is stable and holding on strong.
