Hello to you too! So do you play any particular instruments and what kind of music is your favorite?

Yes... I love music... most especially traditional music from the U.S., England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales & Spain among others. I used to play guitar years ago. But now I play the chorded zither (autoharp)...

Im the classical snob here...got my AA degree in music playing my flute. Loved playing chamber music the best...but classical is about ALL I listen to

The interesting thing in my DBT group our leader pointed out a study that shows through research the relaxation that happens only with listening to classical music....no wonder i was more relaxed as a music major than when I changed to computer sci & accounting...lol. I still love to listen to classical & all my phone ring tones are classical....not so obnoxious when my phone rings where it should be shut off

I'm so very glad I found this thread! Most persons I've come across flinch at the near mention of music. It's nice to find there are other individuals that care for it as much as I do!

Hello, MLH2014, and welcome to Psych Central!
I particularly enjoy vocal music; the entry-level choir I sing in
(second tenor/melody tenor, as opposed to high tenor)
specializes in hymns, Negro spirituals, Southern gospel music,
and Christian contemporary music.

Call me curious, but do you yourself sing? What instruments do
you play? If you simply like listening to music, what kinds do
you like? I've seen more than a few people who would be interested
to know.
