Rather than rant, which is useless, I thought it might be fun to voice our frustrations in the form of a pet peeves list.

My two biggies are: People who know you have an absolute deadline and call you back AFTER it passes; and people who can't punctuate properly. I saw a Tshirt in JC Penney over the summer that said, "I'm out of bed and dressed -- what more do you wan't?"

If there are people walking around out there who think "want" is a contraction, the language is well and truly dead.

So what are your pet peeves? pet peeves

(And yes, I really did have a friend who named her cat Peeve so she could introduce him to people as "my pet, Peeve!")

The only "pet peeve" I can think of at this time is when my son asks me to wake him at a certain time. So I wake him.. He says give me l5 mins.. I say ok.. Fifteen mins are up... get up.. he says give me half hour.. I say ok.. half hour is up..... he says give me 30 more mins... This can go on for several hours...really irks me...

shoot, now I forgot what time he told me to wake him lollllll

When someone says they are gonna do something and then doesn't do it.

When people take forever to do something that should only take a few mins.

People who don't use BLINKERS!!!!

People who Forget to put the toilet seat down.

People who Put the TP on the roller backwards.

People who Don't pick up after themselves.

And please don't tell me you are gonna be some where or do something at a specific time and don't show up or or do it till hours, days or months later.

I will have to stop here because, there is probably not enough time in the day to name them all and besides my hands will cramp up after a while from all the typing. lol

OOOOOOOOOOH, lack of punctuality is HUGE for me. But I posted this while I was waiting for a call on deadline, so that's what I was thinking about. pet peeves And now that I think about it, I just got back in the office after a dr. appt. and found a message from the guy that came in at 10:18 a.m. My deadline was 10!

My mother jokes she will be late for her own funeral -- she's never less than 30 minutes late for ANYTHING. It's probably why I make sure to be 30 minutes early, if I can!

People who are chronically late, you can "fix" by giving them a different, earlier, time to meet than you give others or show up yourself. With the 10:00 guy Candy, I'd remember the merchandizing rule and would have made it $9.95 - 9:45 a.m. :-) as my "latest" time, then he would have made sure to call you before 10:00 because your time had a "9" in it.

My husband leaves cabinet doors open in the kitchen which irks me and gets things VERY wet in the bathroom and kitchen, waking/cleaning up and leaves them that way. Yesterday we came in from the grocery store and I couldn't put the cardboard cartons down on the counters to rest because old 3B (bird bath bather) had been there earlier and left the countertops all wet. I sit here in the dining area and there's a pass-thru to the kitchen. When he's working in the kitchen at the sink (making breakfast, doing dishes, etc.) my school books and I are likely to get "showered". One of my cats likes to sit next to me/my computer on my books but if anyone goes to the kitchen sink he gets a terrified look on his face and instantly gets down from the table. I can only imagine what the "memory" must be for him :-) But, I'm often loathed to complain about little things like a few water droplets when my husband is washing dishes, if you know what I mean? Beats doing them myself.

My 3 biggest pet peeves:
1)Non disabled people parking in handicapped parking spaces (I'm in a wheelchair)
2) When my mom treats me like a 2 year old (I'm 22 years old!!!)
3) People reading over my shoulder

- People that stand almost on top of me in a queue
- People who continue to talk to me even though I am talking on the telephone
- People who stop to chat in the middle of a store aisle
- Paying for something and having to wait for change because there isn't any - and being made to feel it is my problem
- Telling husband and son something only to be told I never told them when they weren't listening
- Finding empty ice cub trays in the freezer
- People who answer the phone, "Who's speaking?"
- Being told by total strangers (even though they mean well) "If I can do it, so can you". They don't know me to make that assumption.

Wow - I feel like a right old grump - I didn't realise so many peeves would come to mind so quickly.

time keeping is my pet peeve, if i can make the effort to be at a specific place at a set time then then i dont want to hear excuses has to why you are late,

phoning me and telling me you are going to be late after the time we arranged to meet really gets my goat,

appointments with healthcare profesionalls (shrinks) that are running late also gets me, especially when you have to turn up early so you dont have your appointment cancelled, but turn up 2 mins late and you have to re-schedule grrrrrrrrrrrr,

my primary doctor now sees me the minute i walk in the door because if my appointment is going to run late i go home.
