So, this past Sunday my sister, nephew and I went to visit our 100 year old grandma. After I gave her a hug and kiss, I knelt down so she could see me. After a few minutes of doing this I suggested we go into the day room - my knees were not appreciating bearing my weight.
We go into the day room and there is a group of residents and a staff member discussing current events and playing some games. When the staff member sees my grandma she's happy to see her and then suggested everyone sing some Irish songs. Both of my grandparents are 1st generation. So here is the earworm: H-A-double R-I-G-A-N spells HarriganI can't get it out of my head. It's been 5 days, Arrrgh! I've always loved singing Irish songs with my grandparents; it's a family tradition. I've heard them since I was a little girl. But this is driving me nuts. ![]() ![]() |
