I'm very direct with intellectual and opinion topics but when it comes to my personal issues I really need to feel comfortable before I can talk about them, so I tend to sidestep questions about myself. Coming to PC has helped a lot with this.

Mine is a nickname that started in High School. One if the required courses was French. There was no literal translation for my name so my teacher called me Cha Cha. I was on the school's field hockey team and Cha Cha became Sha Sha then evolved into Shabur. The bur are the first 3 letters of my last name. Now most everyone calls me Shabur.
Nothing too exciting. But my niece and nephews call me Tia Sha. Tia is the word for aunt in Spanish.

brillskep is short for Brilliant Skeptic, one of the six personality adaptations.

Here's a fun easy-to-read description of them: Six Personality Adaptations - Psychological Adaptations Describing Who We Are - Issues in Personal Growth
& a more serious one can be found in this book: Personality Adaptations: A New Guide to Human Understanding in Psychotherapy and Counselling: Amazon.co.uk: Vann Joines, Ian Stewart: Books

When I joined, I was looking for a username which would feel like me and also sound good, but which would not be identifiable or tell too much. I've grown pretty fond of this name.
Thanks for this!

I'm a gastric bypass patient who is dealing with body dysmorphia issues after losing 200+ lbs. It seemed appropriate.

Captain Chaos was the character played by Dom Deluise in the Cannonball Run movies. I am a movie buff but additionally I have somewhat earned the title of Captain Chaos myself. ..

There is a small community nearby called Nicks Nose Cove. I like the humour of it so I chose it for my PC name.

I just changed my username from whendarknessfalls23 to my current one. I really loves cats so hence the kitty, and my middle name is Faye. I thought kittyfaye went well together.

I was born/raised Mormon and right before I went on my mission, I went through the temple. Not long after I realized that Mormonism (and any organized religion for that matter) wasn't for me, so Lazarus was my 'new name' they gave me in the temple for my endowments and III is because I'm the third Robert; grandpa is Sr and dad is Jr.

My username came from a Radiohead song, How to disappear completely.

I'm a rapper/producer, and It's my stage name. I chose it because it's a play of words on my real name, and I was taking way too many drugs at the time, so it seemed appropriate. I changed the spelling cos some idiot in San Diego and a band in my local area were both using it.Hence Contrabanned instead of Contraband.

My favorite word is gloaming, a poetic term meaning dusk or dawn. Sunset is my favorite time of day. Gloaming was taken already, so I went with gloamingone.

The story behind my user name is the alpine ibex goat that balances vertically on the little edges on the cliffs sides of a dam.

It reminds me of bipolar trying to balance between mania and depression.

"Ubermensch" is a term the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche used to describe the ultimate human. I use it to remind me of my own personal goal of achieving growth and fulfilling my potential.

From the French bęte noire (literally “black beast”).

An anathema; someone or something which is particularly disliked or avoided; an object of aversion, the bane of one’s existence.

This is what I feel like.

I many ways this is what I am to myself.
