Seeing that many folks this 2013-14 Winter have gotten unusual amounts of snow, let's those amounts that y'all got!!!

Yeah we set a record. There was a ridge of ice almost two feet wide along the curb where we got on and off the bus that we had to step across. It was like an Everest crevasse!

We got quite a bit for Kansas, I think it was somewhere in the 40 inches range or something.

Too darn much. Not sure how much actually fell but it was a lot.

103.6 so far, which is unusual for us to get quite this much. I am so looking forward to more on the way this afternoon and this weekend. Not. Let it be done, let be done, let it be done, pretty please.

While the rest of the country was covered in snow, it only snowed once in my city, and then it melted as soon as the sun went up. Guess we got lucky...

I don't know the total number of inches, but NC definitely got a heckuva lot more snow than we usually get. Normally, we only see snow about once every so many years. This year... we saw it three times? At least. Not counting occasional flurries in between. I think Fayetteville saw their first flurries back in fall! It was crazy. One of the times we got snow, we actually ran out of resources. Even the salting companies were out of salt. As a result, most of our city (and many other cities in NC) were snowed in for two of the four days that the snow and ice were on the ground. Lots of my northern friends were laughing at us. But they have to understand that we're not used to that kind of weather, so when it does happen, we are not prepared. Less resources, less knowledge of them, etc.

I believe the heaviest time was around 6 inches in my city? Something like that. I hear Raleigh got snow the other day. Snow this time of year? Usually unheard of in NC.

Oh, random fact, I was actually in Michigan (the Detroit/Pontiac areas) RIGHT before the first big snowstorm hit you guys. The one that hit NY really bad. I was sitting in the hotel coffee room when the NY storm was all over the news, speaking to a guy from Ohio who said he was trying to get the heck out of MI before it hit them. We left the day the storm hit. It literally followed us home. My aunt said it hit MI bad like right as we crossed the border into Ohio. Had we stayed the entire time we'd planned on staying, we'd have been stuck for a few days.
